The film is located Mexico, Peckinpah’s favorite place. Where people still had some basic humanity. Nowadays, some people not so much.. The USA had become a place full of well-off whining cry-babies. All this according to Sam.
Alfredo Garcia is a raw, psychological road-movie. A man sells his soul for a bag of money. He loses not only that, but also what he loves most.
The underestimated actor Warren Oates is Sam’s personification, a macho with a heart of gold, and a loser, in the end.

Great film. Classic. Must see. Must own.
