Director Kathryn Bigelow’s debut, as well as Willem Dafoe’s, though he was uncredited in Michael Cimino’s Heaven’s Gate. Not a bad start! For both. Bigelow would follow this up with Near Dark, another personal favorite.

A tale of youth, sex and anger on motorcycles in small town USA, where a small crew of bikers throw the locals in a nervous fit, and a cute teen (Marin) in love. She can’t resist Vance (Willem) in black his leathers and slick pompadour.
