Mechanic en Driver, ex-hippies, have long bid farewell to the ideals of flowers and happiness. They drive through desolate backcountry in their ’55 Chevy hotrod. They earn money in illegal street races. Life is as sparse as their communication that’s just about the car and the condition it’s in. They meet a man called GTO. Just like his car; a Pontiac GTO. They decide to organise the ultimate street race.
Without any excess of words the men choose a world without false (hippie) promises, just the car and the tarmac. Their world is a two-lane blacktop, no beginning, no end, no speedlimit.
